10 Days Luxury Rwanda Gorilla Trekking and Complete Rwanda Safari

After breakfast at Kigali Serena Hotel, you will check out and begin the scenic drive to Volcanoes National Park in northern Rwanda. The drive takes you through Rwanda’s rolling hills, clean towns, farmlands and beautiful mountain views, giving you a lovely introduction to the countryside.
On arrival in the Volcanoes region, you will check in at One&Only Gorilla’s Nest. This luxury lodge offers comfort, privacy and a refined stay close to Volcanoes National Park. The rest of the day is for relaxation at the lodge as you prepare for the gorilla trekking experience the following morning.

After breakfast, you will return to Volcanoes National Park for golden monkey trekking. This activity takes place mainly in the bamboo forest, where golden monkeys are commonly found feeding, jumping and moving actively through the vegetation.
Golden monkey trekking is usually lighter than gorilla trekking, but it is a beautiful primate experience because the monkeys are active, colorful and very interesting to watch. After the trek, you will return to the lodge for refreshment before starting your scenic transfer to Lake Kivu.
On arrival at Lake Kivu, you will check in at Cleo Lake Kivu Hotel for a relaxed luxury lakeside stay. The evening is free for rest, lake views and peaceful relaxation after your Volcanoes National Park experiences.

After breakfast at Cleo Lake Kivu Hotel, you will enjoy a relaxed morning by Lake Kivu. This part of the safari gives you time to slow down, enjoy the fresh air and appreciate Rwanda’s beautiful lakeside scenery before continuing to the rainforest region.
Later, you will begin the scenic drive toward Nyungwe Forest National Park. The route offers views of Lake Kivu, green hills, rural communities, tea plantations and forested landscapes. On arrival near Nyungwe, you will check in at One&Only Nyungwe House, a luxury lodge set within a beautiful tea estate near the forest.
The rest of the day is spent at leisure, allowing you to enjoy the lodge atmosphere and prepare for chimpanzee trekking the next morning.

After an early breakfast at One&Only Nyungwe House, your guide will transfer you to the chimpanzee trekking starting point in Nyungwe Forest National Park. After registration and briefing, you will enter the forest with experienced park guides in search of chimpanzees.
Chimpanzee trekking in Nyungwe is an exciting rainforest experience because chimpanzees are active, vocal and often move quickly through the trees. As you walk through the forest, you may also enjoy the sounds of birds, forest life and the natural beauty of one of Rwanda’s most important rainforest destinations.
Once the chimpanzees are located, you will spend time observing them as they feed, move, call and interact in their natural habitat. After the trek, you will return to One&Only Nyungwe House for lunch and a relaxed afternoon at the lodge.

After breakfast at One&Only Nyungwe House, you will check out and transfer to Kamembe Airport for your domestic flight back to Kigali. This flight helps reduce the long road journey from Nyungwe and keeps the safari comfortable, smooth and suitable for luxury travelers.
On arrival in Kigali, you will meet your guide and continue by road to Akagera National Park, Rwanda’s main savannah wildlife destination. The scenery changes as you move toward eastern Rwanda, where open landscapes, lakes, wetlands and woodland areas create a different safari atmosphere.
On arrival in Akagera National Park, you will check in at Wilderness Magashi. The rest of the day is for relaxation at the lodge, with time to enjoy the wilderness setting before dinner and overnight.

After breakfast at Wilderness Magashi, you will begin a full day of wildlife viewing in Akagera National Park. Akagera offers a classic savannah safari experience with open plains, lakes, wetlands, woodlands and beautiful rolling landscapes.
During the game drives, you may look for elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, hippos, crocodiles and predators such as lions and leopards. Your guide will help you explore the best wildlife areas depending on animal movement and the day’s conditions.
You will return to Wilderness Magashi for lunch and relaxation before enjoying another safari activity in the afternoon. The evening is spent at the lodge with dinner and overnight in a peaceful luxury safari setting

After breakfast, you will continue exploring Akagera National Park with another game drive. This gives you more time to search for wildlife and enjoy the park’s savannah scenery, especially during the cooler morning hours when animals are often more active.
Later, you will enjoy a Lake Ihema boat safari, one of the most beautiful experiences in Akagera. The boat safari gives you a chance to see hippos, crocodiles, water birds and wildlife along the lakeshore. It also adds a peaceful water-based experience to your Rwanda wildlife safari.
After the boat safari, you will return to Wilderness Magashi for relaxation, dinner and your final overnight in Akagera National Park.

After breakfast at Wilderness Magashi, you will check out and begin your return journey to Kigali. Depending on your departure time, you may enjoy a relaxed morning at the lodge before leaving Akagera National Park.
On arrival in Kigali, you will be dropped off at Kigali International Airport for your departure flight or at Kigali Serena Hotel depending on your onward travel plan. This marks the end of your 10 Days Luxury Rwanda Gorilla Trekking & Complete Rwanda Safari.
