12 Days Luxury Uganda and Rwanda Ultimate Gorilla Safari

After breakfast, you will begin the journey north toward Murchison Falls National Park. Along the way, you will stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking, giving you a chance to see rhinos on foot with experienced local guides.
After the rhino tracking experience, you will continue to Murchison Falls National Park. On arrival, you will check in at Nile Safari Lodge and spend the evening relaxing in a beautiful luxury setting near the Nile.

After an early breakfast at Nile Safari Lodge, you will go for a morning game drive in Murchison Falls National Park. You will explore the park’s savannah landscapes with chances to see elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, antelopes, lions and different bird species.
After the game drive, you will return to the lodge for lunch and a short rest. In the afternoon, you will enjoy a Nile boat safari toward the base of Murchison Falls, with chances to see hippos, crocodiles, water birds and wildlife along the riverbanks.

After breakfast, you will check out and transfer to the airstrip for your domestic flight from the Murchison Falls region to Kasese. This flight helps reduce long road travel and keeps the safari smooth and comfortable.
On arrival at Kasese Airstrip, you will be welcomed and transferred by private vehicle to Kibale Forest National Park. You will check in at Tabebuia Resort and spend the rest of the day relaxing as you prepare for chimpanzee trekking the next morning.

After breakfast at Tabebuia Resort, your guide will transfer you to Kibale Forest National Park for chimpanzee trekking. You will attend a briefing before entering the forest with experienced guides in search of chimpanzees.
Once the chimpanzees are located, you will spend time watching them feed, move, call and interact in their natural forest habitat. After the trek, you will return to Tabebuia Resort for lunch and a short rest.
In the afternoon, you will enjoy a cultural experience around the Kibale community, where you learn about local traditions, daily life, farming practices and the connection between the nearby communities and the forest.

After breakfast at Tabebuia Resort, you will check out and begin the scenic transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. The journey takes you through western Uganda’s beautiful countryside, crater lake scenery, tea plantations and rolling landscapes.
On arrival in Queen Elizabeth National Park, you will check in at Elephant Plains. The rest of the day is for relaxation as you enjoy the lodge setting and prepare for the wildlife safari experience the next day.

After an early breakfast at Elephant Plains, you will go for a morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park. This gives you a chance to search for wildlife such as elephants, buffaloes, lions, antelopes, warthogs and many bird species.
You will return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, you will enjoy a Kazinga Channel boat safari, one of Uganda’s best boat safari experiences, with chances to see hippos, crocodiles, water birds and animals coming to the channel to drink.

After breakfast at Elephant Plains, you will check out and begin the scenic transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Depending on the route and timing, you may pass through the Ishasha sector, an area known for its tree-climbing lions.
You will continue through beautiful countryside, rolling hills and local villages before arriving in Bwindi. On arrival, you will check in at Four Gorillas and spend the evening relaxing as you prepare for your Uganda gorilla trekking experience.

After an early breakfast at Four Gorillas, your guide will transfer you to the gorilla trekking briefing point in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The ranger guides will explain the trekking rules, safety guidelines and what to expect before you enter the forest.
You will trek through Bwindi’s thick forest in search of a mountain gorilla family. Once the gorillas are located, you will spend one unforgettable hour observing them as they feed, rest, groom and move through their natural habitat.
After the trek, you will return to Four Gorillas for lunch, relaxation, dinner and overnight.

After breakfast at Four Gorillas, you will check out and begin the cross-border journey from Uganda to Rwanda. You will be assisted with the border crossing before continuing toward Volcanoes National Park in northern Rwanda.
The route offers beautiful views of southwestern Uganda, Rwanda’s rolling hills and mountain landscapes. On arrival near Volcanoes National Park, you will check in at Sambora Kinigi and spend the evening relaxing before your Rwanda gorilla trekking experience.

After an early breakfast at Sambora Kinigi, your guide will transfer you to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters for registration and briefing. You will be assigned a gorilla family before entering the forest with experienced ranger guides.
Volcanoes National Park offers a different gorilla trekking experience from Bwindi, with bamboo forest, volcanic slopes and beautiful mountain scenery. Once the gorillas are located, you will spend one unforgettable hour watching them in their natural habitat.
After the trek, you will return for refreshment and later transfer to Lake Kivu. On arrival, you will check in at Serena Kivu for a relaxing lakeside evening after your Rwanda gorilla trekking experience.

After breakfast at Serena Kivu, you will enjoy a relaxed morning by Lake Kivu. This is a beautiful time to enjoy the calm lake atmosphere, fresh air, scenic views and peaceful surroundings before ending the safari.
Later, you will transfer to Kigali for your departure drop-off. Depending on your flight schedule, you may be dropped off at Kigali International Airport or at your preferred hotel in Kigali. This marks the end of your 12 Days Luxury Uganda and Rwanda Ultimate Gorilla Safari.
