Your 5 Days Luxury Gorilla Trekking & Chimpanzee Safari Uganda begins with pickup in Entebbe and assistance for your domestic flight to Kasese Airstrip. This flight reduces the long road journey and gives you a smooth luxury start to western Uganda.
On arrival at Kasese, you will be welcomed by your driver-guide and transferred by private vehicle to Kibale Forest National Park. You will check in at Kyaninga Lodge, a beautiful luxury lodge with scenic views and a peaceful setting near the Kibale region. The rest of the day is for relaxation as you prepare for chimpanzee trekking the next morning.
Accommodation: Kyaninga Lodge
After breakfast at Kyaninga Lodge, your guide will transfer you to Kibale Forest National Park for chimpanzee trekking. After the briefing, you will enter the forest with experienced park guides in search of chimpanzees.
Once the chimpanzees are located, you will spend time observing them as they feed, move, call and interact in their natural forest habitat. Kibale is one of the best places in Uganda for chimpanzee trekking, making this a major highlight of the safari.
After the chimpanzee trekking experience, you will return for lunch and later transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. On arrival, you will check in at Elephant Plains Lodge for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast at Elephant Plains Lodge, you will check out and begin the scenic transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. The journey takes you through beautiful countryside, rolling hills and sections of western Uganda’s safari landscapes.
Depending on the route and timing, you may pass through the Ishasha sector, an area known for its tree-climbing lions, before continuing toward the Nkuringo side of Bwindi. On arrival, you will check in at Nkuringo Gorilla Lodge and spend the evening relaxing with beautiful views around the lodge.

After an early breakfast at Nkuringo Gorilla Lodge, your guide will transfer you to the gorilla trekking briefing point. The park rangers will explain the trekking rules before you enter Bwindi Forest in search of a mountain gorilla family.
The trek may take a few hours depending on the location of the gorillas, but the experience is very rewarding. Once the gorillas are found, you will spend one unforgettable hour watching them feed, rest, groom and move through their natural forest home.
After gorilla trekking, you will return to Nkuringo Gorilla Lodge for lunch and relaxation. In the afternoon, you will enjoy a cultural experience around the Bwindi community, giving you a chance to learn about local traditions, daily life and the people living near the forest.

After breakfast at Nkuringo Gorilla Lodge, you will check out and transfer to Kisoro Airstrip for your domestic flight back to Entebbe. This flight gives the safari a comfortable ending by avoiding the long road journey back from Bwindi.
